Assumptions frame behaviour

Just in case you wonder why I behave the way I do (laughing at disasters etc.), here's a short list of my usual assumptions:

• The world is faulty. Things fail all the time.
• People generally mean well, but they fail all the time too.
• Recollections are usually wrong.
• Minds change, but the new idea is usually not any better than the old one.
• You don't get a better deal just by demanding a better deal.
