The Wall Street Journal reports that Intel is piloting the Intel Health Guide, a small computer for home use that helps the chronically ill communicate with their health care providers. It is specifically designed to be autonomous and easy enough for use by the elderly -- it wakes up at specific times of the day and asks the patient to run though the tests they need. It certainly looks promising:
