We evaluated a certain software offering at work today. Here's part of our findings: We use the famed Hieroglyphic scoring system. Note that "stability" gets a dismally low score.

Random quip: GodTube.com is great. But it could have been better named HeTube.com or HimTube.com, for a more direct analogue to YouTube.com. (Or even HymnTube.com as an obscure reference to a direct analogue...)

The Wall Street Journal reports that Intel is piloting the Intel Health Guide, a small computer for home use that helps the chronically ill communicate with their health care providers. It is specifically designed to be autonomous and easy enough for use by the elderly -- it wakes up at specific times of the day and asks the patient to run though the tests they need. It certainly looks promising:

摘自香港電台即時新聞： 診所藏違禁減肥藥稱自用 私家醫生判罰1萬2千元 一名33歲私家診所醫生承認藏有違禁減肥藥，在觀塘裁判法院被判罰1萬2千元。 被告求情時表示，自己體重由120磅倍增至240磅，被認識多年的女朋友拋棄，因此需要吃藥減肥。 去年11月至今年2月，衞生署人員巡查被告位於將軍澳的診所，發現3種違禁減肥藥的訂單，涉及1萬7千多粒藥丸，共值約2萬元。

上班途中，領悟到 BA/BE 的真正意義。
每天早上，我會吃一個餐包。當然，要視乎「包-availability」。
萬一沒有餐包，那就唯有吃別的。但因為慣了餐包的份量，不可能吃太多（例如一整個糯米雞），所以選擇替代品時，要考慮「包-equivalence」。

- People generally mean well, but they fail all the time too.
- Recollections are usually wrong.
- Minds change, but the new idea is usually not any better than the old one.
- You don't get a better deal just by demanding a better deal.

- 與這個圈子裏的人實在脫節得太嚴重，已經沒有興趣打交道了，就像一個每次測驗都不合格的學生，只會越來越無心向學一樣。
- 對於選址，仍然要打從心底裏大聲呼叫出來： WHY, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHY?!
